easter egg hunt at church
last weekend it snowed...today is was in the 70s! we had a big easter egg hunt at church and then planted bulbs and wildflower seeds in our front yard. yeah!
spring...
i love the last picture. a few days ago i looked outside and saw lucy and kate sitting together, eating their snack, totally content...seemingly unaware of everything but one another and the sunshine.

old friends
we've known ben and jess for most of our married life...they are very dear friends. remarkably, they have come out to boulder four times in the five years we have lived here (especially remarkable because they have 2 small children - we missed you this time, olivia!!) as jess said upon leaving, "the goal of loving much, talking deep and laughing hard (and eating well!!) was achieved." it is always a gift to be with our dear friends. thanks for knowing us and loving us - particularly in our not-so-together places.

signs of spring
the last few days have been BEAUTIFUL! this afternoon we walked to the park, played for an hour, kept walking to our new neighborhood baskin robbins (yeah!), walked back to the park, played some more, came home for baths, dinner, a dora video...and konked out! love it!

a few more from the dance
in the second picture, everyone is watching a slideshow - the families who organized the dance had every dad send in a photo of himself and his daughter(s) a week before the dance. all the photos were gathered into a slideshow so that all the girls could see themselves on the big screen with their dad. so thoughtful!
