here are the girls on our way to our neighborhood pool for the first time this summer! they are wearing matching bathing suits with built in swim diapers!!!

father's day

we found this great bike carriage on craig's list!! we took our first family ride to the park - and then to safeway to get ingredients for homemade pizza - dad's favorite meal!! kate is still a little small for the straps, but she survived the adventure! and was happy to cuddle with scott after it was all over.

getting big

kate is getting big and starting to eat "solid" food. all the while lucy loves to play "baby lucy" and remind us that even though she is the big sister, she still likes to be our baby.

gigi's birthday family photos

we had a great time in delaware celebrating scott's mom's birthday! we took advantage of being together to get some family pictures!

the champ

potty training has pretty much lost it's allure, but today lucy decided to revisit the potty chair - as a hat - and then as a neckbrace. (i just happened to be taking a picture.) as you can see, it got stuck. we tried every angle to get it off, put vegetable oil on her ears, used the scissors and small pruners to no avail...we ended up with these HUGE loppers. she was a total champ - only cried from the pain when we were trying to squeeze her head through the too-small hole. thankfully, "elmo goes potty" was in the DVD player, so we had a little distraction for the "surgical removal." definitely one for the books. you will also notice that i was laughing really hard...except for the huge blades by my baby's sweet face, it was pretty comical for all of us!
