perhaps i was a bit ambitious to attempt this project with a two-and-a-half-year-old...especially as it was two degrees outside today and we were staying in...lots of sugar energy. but, very fun to carry on one of my mom's holiday traditions. she used to spend days baking, cutting, drying, assembling...a large house with a chimney, windows and open door. i bought this already-assembled house at target for $8.99...not quite on par with my mom's, but still, very fun. as you can imagine, even as loaded-with-candy as this house is, a LOT of jelly beans found their way into lucy's mouth...good thing we just got an electric hello kitty toothbrush that she uses all day long!

happy thanksgiving!

scott's parents, gigi and grandpa, and his sister, heather were here for the week of thanksgiving. we had a great time being outside, eating good food (surf & turf for thanksgiving is highly recommended!), celebrating heather's upcoming birthday, taking day trips, decorating for christmas, getting creative with heather's activities, and just hanging out...all these photos are from grandpa's camera! thanks for a great week!!

arizona!

we're just back from arizona...thanks, lala & papa and annie! so fun to be with you. here are a few highlights - the phoenix zoo and the AMAZING new museum for children. (this is kate falling asleep on the merry-go-round at the end of our trip to the zoo!)
