these pictures are from a couple weeks ago...lucy was looking for the "baby blunnies" that live on the side of our house, eating blackberries, dancing, examining her feet, and enjoying the summer weather.

cute, cute, cute. sweet, sweet, sweet. here she is playing on the floor, sitting with us at the table (so fun to have all four of us together!), taking an early morning nap on scott's lap, and playing with lucy and our new babysitter, charissa!

here is a glimpse at our early morning celebration, complete with the "you are special today" plate, streamers, fancy tiaras and breakfast cupcakes (bran muffins)!

dad is lovin' it!

we took the girls to the rockies vs. dodgers game today! lucy and scott were on the fantavision screen and lucy got to dance with the mascot on top of the dugout! we all had a great time, but scott, especially, loved every second of it!

new developments

my dear, childhood friend, tristen, just moved to denver!! we are so excited! we also moved the "big girl bed" into lucy's room (you can see we have set it up as much like a crib as possible) AND we got two pet frogs (and a snail, who keeps the ecosystem clean) for lucy's 2nd birthday (the 26th)! they are african dwarf frogs - about the size of a dime - they will not get any bigger. a year's worth of food = 1 tablespoon of pellets and we only have to change their water once every 6 months!! they will live 2-5 years...very fun. no names yet. kate is starting to sit up on her own. lucy continues to be a very affectionate big sister and kate's face lights up every time she sees and/or hears lucy. very sweet.

getting ready for summer!!

time for sunglasses and (matching) swimsuits! :) icecream and watering the plants. morning walks (for mom) and lots and lots of time in the backyard. ash, thanks for the great birthday outfit!!! love it!
