a visit with gigi and grandpa

a weekend in the mountains
the following five posts record our wonderful 3-day weekend in the high country of colorado. our incredibly generous neighbors (the same ones who refinished our basement for free!!) offered us their cabin (which they built by hand from the ground up!!) for the weekend! such a treat. it was great to be away together as a family.
mt. princeton hot springs
definitely a highlight...the natural hot springs not only heat the pools, but they mix with the cold mountain stream, forming natural warm/hot tubs along the edges. so fun to be able to play in the creek for an hour and never have the chills!!
