blue jeans

here she is enjoying a sunny, early fall day in her blue jeans. :) cute!
you may notice that lucy still doesn't have much hair...we are fast approaching the "mullet" phase as the hair on the back of her head somehow manages to get longer while the hair on top of her head gets whispier and lighter!

making the connection

on friday katy asked lucy if she wanted more chicken for lunch...lucy slowly looked down at the chicken on her tray, realizing what/who she was eating, and said, "bok, bok, bok, bok," (the sound she makes whenever she sees a chicken, rooster, hen, etc.), and then she proceeded to pick up the piece of chicken, hug it, and eat it.
and then she asked for more.

new shoes

our neighbors (with 3 girls) are inundating us with clothes, toys, shoes, and baby gear...here is lucy trying on her new shoes!

we got to spend the weekend with mia! so great to have quality time with such a wonderful, long-time friend. here she is with lucy - giving high fives and "knuckles", rocking "baby" in the swing, and getting hugs...thanks for coming to see us, mia!

the mornings are cold here...especially when lucy wants to play outside in the 7:00 hour! we are glad for this fun, warm hat from kelly. and this is soren, he and his parents just moved into our neighborhood last week. soren is two weeks older than lucy. very fun - even though he likes to sit in lucy's favorite seat - lucy is having a word with soren's mom about it in this picture!
