out of order

for those of you who are kind enough to check our blog...wanted to let you know that our camera/computer connection is not working! we are still taking pictures, they are just trapped in the camera right now.
so, in a less visual form, the highlights of the last week:
lucy is technically crawling, though it is one move at a time.
she LOVES the christmas tree - her face breaks into a smile every time the lights come into her view.
she was photographed by an artist from our church who is going to do a painting of her - so fun!
she is eating oatmeal and pureed fruit - pears are the favorite so far.
scott and i are celebrating 7 years of marriage this weekend.
a good week for all of us!

big girl things

here is lucy wearing overalls for the first time! and this is her "high chair" where she enjoys rice cereal and teething biscuits on a regular basis (she is not so fond of fruits and vegetables yet). she also gets a kick out of sitting in the block basket - one of her favorite "toys". our dear friends, the hofmanns (who gave us the block basket...and the blocks) brought over a stack of about 40 big kid books today - so fun!!! we had a great time going through the books and putting them on the book shelf in lucy's room.

thanksgiving

we had a great time with scott's parents in delaware this week! as always, lots of laughs and great food. and it is a great perk to have a photographer for a father-in-law! david got some great pictures (about 150!) of lucy and the whole gang.

ashley & phil

ashley and phil were here for the long weekend! very fun to spend time with them. phil took lucy for a walk while ashley and i put up the christmas tree, making us one of "those houses" that gets the christmas decorations out before thanksgiving!

staff retreat

we spent the early part of this week in colorado springs with the church staff. we had a great time - resting, hearing from a great speaker and being with people we love. lucy was a champ! we stayed in a castle that echoed and lucy loved trying out her very loud laughter and talking sounds. she and scott talk/yell very loudly back and forth. hilarious. she loves it! it's hard to tell in this first picture, but lucy is jumping up and down on scott's lap, hugging his neck and laughing and squealing in his ear.
we spent our free time exploring the broadmoor hotel...a famous colorado springs spot...beautiful!

papa and lovey

it was SO great to have my folks here!!! lucy seems to grow so much from all the love and attention from her grandparents. we are off to delaware in a couple of weeks and looking forward to being with grandpa and grammy soon too! once again, i am convinced, grandparents are the BEST!
