date night

on friday night we took the girls out of the bath at 6:30 - lucy picked out a sundress for a date with scott at the museum of contemporary art where one of his students had an exhibit - and kate got dressed in her footie pajamas for a long evening walk with mom. we all loved it!!

door to door organics

every tuesday a box of local organic fruit and veggies is delivered to our door...i love that lucy is snacking on heirloom baby tomatoes and green beans and peppers...all from farms in colorado. it is so fun to open the box and see what we get to enjoy each week. thanks, megan for the suggestion!

feeling grateful...

for colorado, for summer nights, for little legs that love to run and jump and climb, for our neighborhood (and all that we see on a sunday evening stroll), green grass, muddy toes, neighbors (and their dogs), time and space to wander around together...thank you, Lord, for the "little things."

something about the target studio doesn't bring out the best smiles in the girls...scott keeps trying to tell me that my candids are better, but for some reason i like dressing them in coordinating outfits and getting their pictures taken with a white background by someone else...we'll keep trying.

though lucy violated soren's personal space many times today, these two sure have fun when they are together! their birthdays are just a couple weeks apart...
