happy mother's day!

scott and lucy surprised me with a new camera last night for mother's day! so fun! we have taken 150 pictures in the last 24 hours!!! scott wrapped up the gift early so that we could learn about the camera before our family reunion in a couple weeks. what a guy!

our good friend from gordon-conwell, andy pelander, was visiting this week! we missed rachel and the three kids, but lucy loved all the attention from this seasoned dad! (we were especially impressed with andy's hip hop beat for reading all the sandra boynton books!! who knew?)

scott's mom came to stay with lucy and scott while i was at the women's retreat last weekend. they had a great time together! AND...lucy is back to her normal self - the croup has cleared up. we are so thankful!

our sweet girl has a respiratory virus that almost landed us in the ER tonight. we are thankful that she is okay and that we were able to give her medicine and watch her from home. needless to say, it has been a stressful, sleepless 24 hours.

monkey talk

my mom thought it would be fun to introduce lucy to monkeys...and scott has followed along...we have monkey everything! and here she is making monkey sounds (kind of)!

it took a few tries, but here she is walking! when i start singing "the wheels on the bus" you will see her ears perk up...she has a book called "the wheels on the bus" that is basically an illustrated song book, so whenever we start to sing the song she tries to find the book. she does the same with "old macdonald" too. amazing to see her mind make the connections!
