it's beginning to look a lot like christmas!
it was so nice to get out all the christmas stuff this weekend. the girls did a great job with the tree. kate decided to try on all the hats in the hat basket while we were decorating.
thanksgiving!
we had a great day at the zylstras' house. my favorite thing about this first picture (and whenever we are with these dear friends) is that parents and kids are all together, with great affection and tenderness for everyone.
we also made a "thankfulness tree" for the first time this year (thanks, ashley!). every day the girls wrote something for which they are thankful on a leaf...it was fun to hear what they chose to celebrate each day.

our neighboring town had a fun run and trick-or-treating the day before halloween. it was a beautiful day, so it was great to get outside and enjoy the festivities!
